What you Want to Know About Newborn Portrait Sessions

I will be posting a series of blogs over the next week to discuss “What you Want to Know About Newborn Portrait Sessions.”  I am hoping that this series will help to educate you about why and when to schedule a newborn session, and to help answer any concerns you may have about the safety of your session.

My first blog is entitled:

“Why should I schedule a newborn portrait session?"
February 8, 2019

Photography is a passion of mine.  However, I specialize in newborn and maternity photography.  Why, because there is something so special about that tiny baby that God has blessed you with, and I absolutely love being able to create a lasting memory for you that you can treasure forever.

Your baby will only be this small and look like a newborn for a very short time period.  As a mom of two adult children and two grandchildren, I can attest that they “grow up so fast” is not just a saying, it is so true.  When my children were born, I did not have the opportunity to have newborn portraits taken.  The only image I have of my two children when they were newborn was the picture taken at the hospital where they are wrapped in a standard blanket with the little beanie hat on them. They were wrinkly, red and crying.  While I do treasure that very first picture of them, I would have loved to have had some beautiful portraits of them to hang on the wall.

Many milestones in our lives (graduation, marriages, etc.) are documented with professional portraits; why would we not want to document this very special event of our precious babies.

Professional portraits are an investment you make to be assured of beautiful images that you will be proud to display.

Your images can be used to create a beautiful wall portrait over your baby’s crib, or anywhere in your home.  I can design a personalized birth announcement for you to send to family and friends.  I also have a year plan starting with newborn to one year to document your baby’s milestones ending with a wonderful family session.

I hope this blog has been helpful, and that you will continue to follow me as I post more blogs over the next week. If you liked this blog, please share!

My next blog will be: "What age is the best to schedule a newborn portrait session?".
